Mark and the City by the Light Divided

This was taken in the year of our Lord 2007 on July twenty-sixth at the University of Minnesota campus. I really like how the photo is a little static, which combined with the city lights makes everything fluorescent and a little uncomfortable. This also gives the impression that Mark is just incredibly paranoid.
Oh, and I like bright, shiny things.

Nice picture. I do like the way you captured the light and made it seem really radiant. great following of the rule of thirds (the main source of the picture is in the lower area and the "hot spots" are the lights, following the lower third).

Something that I might try is to see if you could either get a little more contrast between the sky and the building. (Try maybe a little later or earlier in the night to see if the moon will maybe move higher or lower into the sky).

overall nice theme and capture

I enjoy how you do not always make the people the central figures - which makes them a part of the image but not THE image. I look forward to seeing your self-portrait and how you play around with that.
