My front yard

This is my front yard on a dark windy night...good thing the grim reaper doesn't live there...I don't think...

Atomic Extension (Second Level)

There is something dreamlike about this photo, like something totally mundane and normal suddenly interrupted by a nuclear explosion in the sky. It's a kind of scary actually, but also a little surreal. And in case you didn't infer, the name refers to the stunt the cheerleaders are performing. If you didn't know, don't feel bad, I had to look it up too.
By the way, that was a great game.

Mark and the City by the Light Divided

This was taken in the year of our Lord 2007 on July twenty-sixth at the University of Minnesota campus. I really like how the photo is a little static, which combined with the city lights makes everything fluorescent and a little uncomfortable. This also gives the impression that Mark is just incredibly paranoid.
Oh, and I like bright, shiny things.

Orange Sky at Sundown

This picture was taken on the beautiful Pelican Lake in Norther Orr, MN. The color of the sun warms your heart and the soft clouds drifting along through the sky puts your body at ease. The sun is sinking down into the island across the lake as we prepare for night to come. Watching these sunsets makes you forget about everything else as you stare into the sky until the moon takes over and we wait for morning light to come again.

A Walk in the Park

I took a walk through the nature center with a friend. We were in the woods and thought we would snap a few pictures of the fall trees.

Hot Haste (Cold Ground)

This photograph that you are viewing takes inspiration mainly from an album (The Devil and God are Raging Inside Me) that--to me--always has a perfect autumn mood to it. It has the feel of the different things that this transitional season seems to remind me of--the onset of cold, the search for warmth, and the changing of landscape. All of these things I've put into this photo plus another The last element to the photo I wanted to add was a personal one--the constant motion and movement that comes with the numerous and overwhelming activities that one is involved with--hence the motion blur of a moving car. Gotta keep moving moving moving...

Bliss

With the colors changing all around us and it getting cooler, you can't help but think it's cross country season. Okay, so it's just me, but it's one of those times of the year you can't help but think, "why can't it be like this all year."

Sunsets

I like watching the sun set with all the different colors in the sky, melting into the clouds.
